Antidote Fall Winter 2019
Entirely shot by the Chinese photographer Xiangyu Liu, this new issue of Antidote: EXCESS explores and analyzes the excess in all its forms: from its omnipresent manifestations in fashion to its dialectic with censorship in art and our contemporary societies, through its spurts through the path of artists and iconoclastic designers. Donatella Versace reveals herself as a strong woman at the head of a luxury empire, Christine and the Queens tells the stages of her butch metamorphosis, and Adele Exarchopoulos evokes her sometimes conflictual relationship with celebrity.
There are also surveys on the issues of overpopulation, the sexuality of the future, or a short story by the French writer Arthur Dreyfus on the unexpected emergence of excess shaking the triviality of everyday life. EXCESS also invites Estonian rapper Tommy Cash to the dawn of his second album, and the eternal punk Brigitte Fontaine returning to his extraordinary career.
